Key Ingredients:

Full ingredients and recipe are in the recipe card below. Read through this section for all the ingredients substitution and baking tips!

  • Puff Pastry: This recipe calls for puff pastry. Whether you use pre-made or homemade, it’s up to you!

  • Pumpkin Puree: Feel free to use either store bought or homemade, they will turn out exactly the same either way.

  • Coconut Sugar: I like to use a good high-quality coconut sugar, but feel free to substitute with light or dark brown sugar!

  • Cinnamon: It goes into the filling and outer cinnamon sugar coating. It is an essential for a traditional fall flavor.

  • Pumpkin Pie Spice: It is totally optional, but.it adds a warming and cozy flare!

Tips for Making Cruffins:

  • Make sure to generously butter the bottom and around the sides of the muffin pan — this will prevent the cruffins from sticking.

  • If the cruffins are uneven once removed from the oven after puffing up, use your fingertips to gently press them down to even out.

Can Mini Pumpkin Spice Cruffins be made ahead of time?

I wouldn’t recommend baking these off days in advance, as they will lose their crispiness and flakiness. However, you can prep them in the pan, cover, and stick into the fridge or freezer, Bake off within the next 2 days, and make sure to bring them down to room temperature before baking!

Can you freeze Mini Pumpkin Spice Cruffins?

Yes! Store in an airtight freezer-bag labeled with the date for up to two months. Reheat them in the toast, microwave, or oven!

How do you store Mini Pumpkin Spice Cruffins?

I recommend storing these at room temperature in an airtight bag or container for 1-2 days. Their crispiness and flakiness won’t last much longer than that!
